What Is a Process Control System And Its Types Including Eurotherm 3200

Primarily a process control system watches over the manufacturing environment and controls the process or flow electronically on the basis of various set-points fetched by the user. The devices used in a process control system are known as programmable logic controllers. When there is more than one control loop within a system, multi-loop controllers are used. Generally mounted on panels these controllers are programmed using a typical proprietary software program that downloads settings to the multi-loop temperature controller using communications.

Eurotherm 2132i and 2704: The Highlights

Using a Eurotherm temperature controller works wonderfully when you have to stabilize the heat in a system, after a target temperature has been finalized. Some Recognized Features Of Eurotherm 2416

Eurotherm 2416 is a versatile temperature controller, known for its high stability and self adaptive tuning in a 1/16 DIN size (48x48x150mm). The 2416 features a modular hardware construction that can accept up to three plug-in I/O modules and one communication module. Fully configurable on-site, these controllers can be availed in versions with a simple 8 segment setpoint profile. They are also available in more powerful versions to run one 16 segment program or store 4 programs of 16 segments. Below are some of the additional features of Eurotherm 2416:

Precise control

An advanced PID control algorithm ensures stable ‘Straight-line’ control of the process. A one-shot tuner does both sets up the initial PID values and calculates the overshoot inhibition parameters. Moreover, an adaptive tuner is provided to handle process with continually changing characteristics.

Customised operation

The process value and set point are visible on a custom LED display. Tactile push buttons are added to ensure positive operation. Access to other parameters is easy to understand, and can also be customized to display only those parameters that need to be adjusted. You can also lock other parameters under password protection. A front panel auto/manual button is also provided to ease the functionality.

Digital communications

Eurotherm 2416 comes with either EIA485 2 wire or 4 wire or EIA232. It is also available with industry-standard protocols, including Modbus®, Eurotherm Bisync, and SPI.
